Escapist Twofer
Today’s Escapist Magazine Extra is comprised of not one, but two articles of interest: My Gamer Lady by Bruce Nielson and Infinite Princesses by Kyle Orland. Snarky commentary will ensue shortly, perhaps starting with the ball and chain image on the first article. In the mean time, read up.
I found that ‘Infinite Princesses’ article really interesting. Although the illustrations were deeply nauseating, I do agree with the author about gaming as a solitary experience. Me and my housemates played Mario 64 as a group, which, although it diminshed controller time for each individual, made it seem more like a shared epic adventure. I don’t like gaming alone at all, and lose patience with it very quickly.
