I miss Final Fantasy XI

Now that I have an Xbox 360, I’ve been thinking about playing Final Fantasy XI again. I gave the game up about 5 years ago because I traded my PC in for a Mac and I also had no offline social life. Perhaps when I’m starting a PhD program is not the ideal time to replay a game I was once addicted to, but I’ve changed a lot in the last half decade.

Does anyone still play Final Fantasy XI? If I replay, I’d like to find a friendly linkshell that might help me level a new character. I could also look into reviving my old character (if that’s possible!), but I gave away or lost most of her good gear. I used to be on the Midgardsormr server, and I’m not sure if that’s still around.

  1. Battling with addiction has been a thorn in my side for a while, I’ve finally kicked FFXI out of my life. Look at it this way… You have changed, It has not, wait for FFXIV.

  2. Wow, I had no idea FFXIV was going to be a MMO. Looks like it takes place in the same world as Vana’diel. Thanks for the tip… too bad I don’t have a PS3!

  3. I still play, on Cerberus.

16 is supposed to be similar-yet-different from 11 – same races, but they’re not called the same thing, not actually in “Vana’diel” as such, etc.

I dunno. If they’d let us move our chars from one game to the other, I’d definitely go for it – but they aren’t. So poop.

  5. Ariel, I would totally play FF XI with you! I’ve got an xbox 360, and we could both start new characters together.

Definitely, just let me know if you’re still interested, or if that interest passed.

  6. Hey Jeremy! I didn’t know you liked MMOs. I could play in the summer. I applied to beta test for FF14, the next MMO, but I don’t know if I’ll get in.

  7. [...] The local dive quarry for those in the west of North Carolina. These quarries are a great idea. People get together for dives and barbeques (cook-outs), there are toilets there, a fill-station, stuff to see underwater. Magic idea – well worth to get in. We should do this here in Western Australia. Video Rating: 5 / 5 The local dive quarry for those in the west of North Carolina. These quarries are a great idea. Peo…allowfullscreen="true"> [...]
